The Lisbon Regional School Chapter of the National Honor Society was chartered in 1957 as the Ammonoosuc Chapter of the National Honor Society. Since its inception, the Lisbon Honor Society has been honoring students who excel in the National Honor Society’s four qualities with induction. It is a tradition that the Lisbon Honor Society is proud to continue today. In keeping with practices of the National Honor Society that were established in 1921, the Lisbon Honor Society is guided by the four purposes of the National Honor Society:
create enthusiasm for scholarship,
stimulate a desire to render service,
promote leadership,
develop character in students.
The Faculty of Lisbon Regional School wishes for all students to know that nomination, selection, and induction into the Lisbon Honor Society is truly a remarkable accomplishment-- goals toward which we encourage all students at Lisbon Regional School to aspire. One in which National Honor Society members should take particular pride. Choosing to accept membership into the Lisbon Honor Society is an honor and a lifelong commitment.
